Anthony Chang and Elaine Macdonald- Grundy, the two principals, have been involved in real estate development and property management for over 30 years.
In that time, they have been actively involved in developing, owning, and managing an impressive portfolio across the country. The two have interests in several provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island and the Northwest Territories.
With their head office in Yellowknife, through various holding companies, they own and directly operate five apartment buildings totaling 109 units, 20 single residential properties, a 10,000.00 square foot car dealership leased to Chrysler, a 7300 square foot building leased to Boston Pizza , two light industrial buildings comprising 8,000 sq ft., as well as a 4000 sq. ft. office building. In 2008, they also purchased a 43 unit hotel in Yellowknife in which they re-branded as the Arnica Inn (www.arnicainn.com).
In 2002, they constructed a 39,000 sq ft. Transitional medical facility with 124 beds in Winnipeg in which they still manage and operate today as the Kivalliq Development Corporation.
Following the development in Winnipeg, the owners acquired 8 apartment buildings totaling 144 units in Thompson, Manitoba as well as an additional 120 townhouses in Thompson. Today, these properties are still operated by the TC Group with Property Managers looking after daily operations.
In 2006, while developing a new 7500 square foot Boston Pizza facility and business in Charlottetown, the company purchased 2 apartment buildings in the area comprising 18 units as well as a local landmark restaurant known as Peter Pan; a classic burger takeout restaurant.
The organization has developed a significant land package across Canada and they look forward to the opportunities these provide for the future.
